Delivery Costs
How Delivery Costs are Calculated
The delivery costs for your shopping cart contents are calculated based on the total weight of the combined order and the amount that the post office (or other service) charges to ship a parcel with that weight. In addition to the postal charge, we add a small amount that covers our material costs, such as boxes, string, tape, etc.
Delivery costs are also subject to standard VAT, so this is included in the quoted amount.
Delivery Regions
Availability of certain delivery methods varies from region to region, so before choosing a delivery method you are first required to select the country or region to which the goods are to be delivered.
This allows us to narrow down the choices so you do not accidentally select a delivery method that is not actually available for delivery to where you live.
To change the delivery region, use the drop down menu provided and click on the correct location.
If the page does not update automatically, click on 'update cart' to register your selection.
If you happened to choose wrongly, just do it again.
Delivery Methods
Having narrowed down the choices to only those delivery methods that are available to the given region, you can now choose the safest, the fastest, or simply the cheapest.
To change the delivery method, use the second drop down menu and click on the correct delivery method.
If the page does not update automatically, click 'update cart' to register your selection.
Note that you need to choose the delivery region first before this second drop down menu will appear.
Available Delivery Methods
On the cart page under the products table you will notice a drop-down menu which allows you to choose different delivery methods.
Next to the menu it says 'Delivery method'. Naturally you will find that some are cheaper than others and vice-versa. You should choose the delivery method that you feel is most appropriate, i.e. use a 'better' one if you feel that your order is more valuable.

Choice Restrictions
Some services faces restrictions such as maximum weight, size or compensation/insurance. We therefore restrict the use of such services when one of its limits is exceeded.
Delivery Upgrades
Naturally we will try to honour your selection, however this is not always possible.
There are some circumstances where we may decide to send using a different method, but only if this is of benefit to you (and possibly cheaper for us).
What we consider a benefit is best described by the following points:
- Guaranteed delivery
- Faster delivery
- Recorded (signed-for) delivery
For example we may use a courier such as ParcelForce if your order is too large to be sent by standard post, even if you did not pay the regularly applicable charge for this service.
Wrong Choice of Delivery Method
Availability of certain delivery methods varies from region to region, so that you are required to indicate where delivery is to be made (region or country).
You can easily correct a mistaken choice by selecting a different region and/or delivery method using the 2 drop-down menus.
If the chosen method is not available to your delivery address, we will contact you to reconfirm delivery with a new delivery method and will refund or ask you to pay the difference (depending whether it is cheaper or more expensive).
You may also change the delivery address to one that is covered by the selected service.
