Privacy Policy

GT Decorations is committed to your privacy as a valued customer.

Any changes to this policy will be announced prominently on our home page for a short period of time. Important changes will be highlighted. For reference you may wish to print the information on this page.

Features to come

We will always strive to create an ethical and legal solution to implementations of new features. This may include functionality such as newsletters or user accounts that may or may not be made available in the future. Where this is possible you will always have the opportunity to not supply personal information, not receive communication of commercial nature and view personal details held by us on application.

Visit Tracking

When you use our site, our servers automatically record information when you visit our website, including the URL, IP address, software used (browser type, operating system and language) and the date and time of your request.
Collecting this information allows us to find performance issues and partially protect ourselves against potentially malicious access.
Almost all sites do this to some degree and it is difficult to identify the individual who was using the computer at the time (this information is protected by the Internet Service Providers (ISP) who will rarely cooperate in the case of a casual request).

Apart from the above we also take records of the pages you use on our site, for instance what products you look at and how our search is used.
The data collected helps us identify errors in our site and allows us to plan changes that will likely improve our products and/or service to all our customers. We may also in future use this kind of data to customise content for you to provide a better user experience.

None of the information collected is stored by us directly, but can only be accessed by ourselves and then only in aggregate form (except for individual search queries).

Technical note: Website usage statistics are collected by Google Analytics using a small piece of so-called JavaScript that is embedded into every page. Please click the following link to read Google's Privacy Policy.
Modern browsers frequently provide the ability to disable JavaScript and doing so would make you 'invisible' to the statistics. Details on how to do this can probably be found in your web browser's manual or help.
We do however not recommend disabling JavaScript as this will inevitably impair other functionality on our and on other's websites you visit.

Payment Information

Billing information is collected by PayPal when you use the checkout facility.
The checkout facilities provided are secured by PayPal using at least 128bit SSL (secure socket layer) encryption.

We have no access to your credit/debit, bank or other financial information.

Once payment is completed, our server is automatically notified by PayPal that you have completed the checkout. This enables us to automatically create the documents required for dispatch and order fulfillment.

The automated notification runs over a secure channel with (at least) 128bit SSL encryption using a token based post-back mechanism to protect your sensitive details.
The following information is exchanged during this process and is stored to some extent on our servers:

The above information is used only for order fulfillment purposes and possibly for internal market research.

Third parties

No information will be sold, rented or otherwise made available to others, unless we are required by law to assist with information in a serious criminal investigation.
