Payment Guide
This article explains how to use each of the online payment methods offered during checkout:
Google Checkout
Google Checkout provides secure payment accepting the following debit and credit cards:

Using Google Checkout is recommended if you do not have a PayPal account, if you are using a company credit card, or if you tried PayPal and it didn't work.
Usage
To use Google Checkout to pay for your GT Decorations order, click on the Google Checkout button during checkout.
The image below shows the main elements of the Google Checkout interface:

In the top right you can select a different language.
Just underneath there is a link to edit your order. Clicking this link will return you to our website and allow you to make changes to your cart contents. - On the right hand side there is a form for logging in if you have a Google account. Please be aware that the user name and password may be different from other Google services, so if your login is rejected even though you are using another service (like G-mail), then please use the form on the left instead (see next item).
- The left hand side allows you to enter your billing details, which are otherwise self-explanatory.
- Lower down on the form you can change the delivery address to something other than the billing address if desired.
The following screens (after login or after entering your billing details) are very straight forward, so simply follow the instructions provided.
PayPal
PayPal allows registered customers to pay from their account balance, as well as accepting the following debit and credit cards:

Using PayPal is recommended if you have a PayPal account, if you want to use Amex in the UK or if you tried Google Checkout and it didn't work.
Usage
To use PayPal to pay for your GT Decorations order, click on the PayPal button during checkout. The following screenshots show the interaction with the PayPal Interface.
The image below shows the main elements of the PayPal interface:

At the top a 'summary' of your order is displayed.
Note that this will always show a quantity of '1' for your entire cart and that VAT (if applicable) is shown separately. You will however find that the total is the same as that previously shown on the cart page. - On the right hand side there is a form for logging in if you have a PayPal account.
- On the left hand side there is a small link to 'continue' if you do not have an account and wish to pay by card instead. The following screen will prompt for your billing details. This is fairly straight forward and not further covered in this guide, but you may nevertheless like to read on, since some screens may be very similar.
- If you need to make changes or wish to cancel the checkout, click 'cancel and return to GT Decorations' at the bottom of any screen.
The next image shows the 'Review your Payment' screen:
- You can add a message, for example to advise the delivery company of opening times.

PayPal allows your payment to be funded by a variety of different methods,
including your PayPal account balance, se called 'eCheques' or debit and credit cards.
Click 'Change' in the 'Payment Method' section to select a different funding source (More about this below). - To change your delivery address, click 'Change' in the 'Post to' section (see below).
- The 'pay now' button in the bottom right is the last step for comfirming your details and placing your order. You should check all the details on the page carefully before using it.
Following from the 2nd option above, the 'Funding Options' screen looks like this:
- Choose a payment method on the left. If you have any credit or debit cards in your account there will be a separate selection for these as well. (This particular demonstration account doesn't have any cards)

To add a new credit or debit card, use the 'Add Credit Card' link in the top right.
This will open a page to do just that:
As you can see it is easily possible to change the card type and billing address on this page. Card details will be prompted depending on the card type selected.
If you used the 3rd option above, the 'Post to' section will expand to offer
you a selection of address from your PayPal address book, in addition to a few buttons
to apply or cancel the selection, or to add an address:
In case of problems...
If you experience difficulties with either PayPal or Google Checkout, whether because of an error message, your card not being recognised, or simply that you cannot find the link or button that does what you want, please try using the respective other service as there are a few differences that may make one or the other easier or more comfortable for you to use.
