The view of the plants from inside the pavilion is impressive

Liverpool Biennial 2008 (Pavilions Project)

The Pavilions project takes the form of three large-scale, temporary creative spaces in the Liverpool neighbourhoods of Kirkdale, Garston and Kensington.

Ivy Chain garlands cover a large part of the facade

Each community has followed a very different approach to their site, working collaboratively with international artists and architects to embed their individual needs and aspirations into the spaces.

Rotunda in Kirkdale worked with internationally acclaimed Landscape Architects GROSS Max on designs to convert a strip of derelict land outside their building into a community garden.

GROSS Max in turn asked us at GT Decorations to provide all of the artificial plants and greenery that would be mixed with a number of real plants in the design.

The Rotunda Pavilion opened to the public at the end of April 2008. The artificial plants have been so successful that a second installment is scheduled this month (July).

A combination of real and artifical plants was used
